We’ve been creating high quality home & commercial gardens since 2002

Kobie Jacobs started the business in September 2002 with a strong background in landscaping, garden designs and management. Kobie is a passionate landscape designer who creates tranquil garden layouts combining natural an eco-sensitive materials for detailed indoor and outdoor gardens. With a focus on the Garden Route area, Kobie is renowned for innovative and contemporary garden layouts as well as a meticulous attention to detail. She stays on the edge of the latest garden designs and layout trends thus providing clients with modern and unique garden settings. Kobie specializes in exotic and indigenous designs which are eco sensitive and water wise. Garden design inspiration is drawn from shapes such as circles triangles and squares. The strong form and architectural design of each garden is emphasized by the use of indigenous plants, mosaics, rocks, wooden sleepers and other natural products. Gardens are transformed into calm peaceful and lush environments blending well with the nature that surrounds it. With 20 years’ experience behind her she is moving closer to her ultimate goal of designing gardens all over South Africa.

Our Landscaping Achievements

Top billing (June 2009) interviewed by Michael mole Architect Polo Estevez. Cutting Edge was praised for their indigenous garden design and the Pezula Private Estate situated in Knysna, Garden Route, South Africa. This project was challenging due to the ecological sensitivity of the area. Attention was paid to minimizing the disturbance to the natural environment by keeping their footprint as small as possible.

A bold, dramatic garden design using 70% indigenous plants versus 30% foreign plants allowing colour all year round.

Pezula Hotel Resort and Spa, Knysna, Garden Route, South Africa

Cutting-Edge was commissioned in June 2012 to design 5 Private Residential Club Suites, a subsidiary of Pezula,
Private Resort Hotel and Spa. Each suite had a unique garden design and layout thus creating 5 individual gardens each with their own design style and atmosphere.
